an incredible take on generational trauma women experience. not even kidding this is the best book i’ve ever read. it has become my favorite book ever. 10/10
Quite a thriller! Great job capturing the pain of loss and its impact on the characters lives as they try to heal and move forward.

holy shit !!!! i cannot imagine this book being written any other way or by any other person. was so so tense and i was soo annoyed by almost every character in it, captures the terrifying idea of family trauma and becoming the very person you hate the most no matter how hard you try not to. cried (multiple times), crunched this in two days in between classes like it was my job. WILL be reading the whispers and I WILL be revisiting this as well

Once I started, I couldn’t stop reading. Incredibly dark. This was hard to read as a mom. Very well written though. I would not recommend for new moms but I would definitely consider reading other books by this author.
