Having concluded the trilogy, I can now surmise that I liked it. I just hoped that I would end up loving it because the structure of the story and its characters were so great and so well-written. Kane and Arwen's story faced countless trials, and I loved how everything tied up in the end.

Griffin and Mari, on the other hand, had so little of their story told and no closure at all. However, I think the reason why the author didn't finish their story is because she's setting up for a spin-off, maybe with Griffin and Mari as the main characters this time. I would eat that up because, to be told, they're my favorite characters of the trilogy (sorry, Kane and Arwen!).

All in all, Kate Golden is an author to look out for. I'm excited for her next releases and am definitely going to read them. Oh, and my favorite book would surely be the first one!

Finished the trilogy! Wow did this have some twists, and more importantly battles! The battle had me in tears, literally crying, I wish it would have been more on the ending battle, like more detail on how and what/ such a huge build up just to get to the ending? But still beautiful story, tragic, and loved the possibilities.
