1.5 stars. Do you ever crave trashy fast food knowing you’ll get a stomachache later but you don’t care? That was this book series. I wanted all the trashy romantasy vibes and tropes not caring how it was delivered, but honestly, the poor quality of this series got in the way of even enjoying those simple pleasures. At the beginning of the series, I could see the vision and thought maybe as the books went on it would get better. Nope. It got worse. I finished this audiobook at 2x speed just ready for it to be done.

 I have way too many questions left after finishing the series for this to have been worth it. The ending was very rushed and is clearly setting up for a Mari spinoff that I will not be reading because I already suffered through 3 books. Which sucks because a lot of my questions revolve around Mari. I predicted basically every twist before it was revealed. I even called the pregnancy reveal in the epilogue.

I was honestly a bit disappointed in this book. As a whole, I enjoyed it - and have enjoyed the series - but it just felt like it was missing something. Some parts dragged on while others felt rushed. However, I loved the relationships between the characters and enjoyed the twists this book contained!
