This is a solid series that I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on!

I enjoyed this one but it didn't feel as strong as the second book. I took a little longer reading it because at the 50%ish mark, all the main characters were back together and happy and I didn't want to ruin that for them hah.

The final battle was brutal and the losses weren't as bad as I was expecting. I felt like there was too much modern language in this series but I was willing to overlook it because the story was still solid. The mental health representation was also well done.

I will want to reread this series some day now that it's complete and I know I forgot some things. I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed the final book, probably because I am a suckered for HEA's. There was also a lot more action in this book than previous books, and it did have me reading just one more page each time.
However, there were a couple of instances where scenes just were a little too quick and too easy, and I would have enjoyed a slightly longer build-up.
Overall, I did enjoy this series and was glad to see in this book that the FMC really grew into her power and that it was recognised by the main MMC. Also, I wouldn't mind a series about the two other secondary characters of Griffin and Mari!

This book… was so disappointing. How was there absolutely zero character growth in a 3 book series? Kane was unbelievably annoying, timid, and insufferable. Arwen was acting like a scared whiny baby the whole time. Mari was my favorite character yet I barely knew her. Griffin was stupid and all he did was grunt the whole book. The plot holes were ginormous. The prophecy and how it concluded made no sense and pissed me off. The story concluded in a rush at the very end after all of them acting dumb for a whole book. The things they were saying didn’t match who the characters were. It’s like a bunch of random cliches strung together instead of actual conversations. Nothing made any sense!!!!! The reasons people did anything were stupid! I was rage reading the last half and wanted to dnf which is crazy for me to feel on the last book in a series. Also I got a distinct whiff of Christianity undertones throughout these books. That part reminded me of a Rebecca Ross book. The romance and spice was explicit yet at the same time not sexy at all. Awkward and excruciating. I didn’t like him calling her bird. Too much talk about shame and embarrassment about sex, which is not what I want to hear. I want to feel empowered and the characters to be empowered, not to feel shameful. Actually this book read like a young adult book and the spice seemed so out of place. It’s like the author just mashed together a bunch of tropes and plot lines that had already been done and nothing felt original or interesting.
