Continuing with this amazing series that introduced to a profession a didn’t even know how it was implemented! Here in Portugal is not that talked about, but it should.
First, I wanna thank Paisley Hope for giving me the opportunity to read this amazing book and being part of the ARC read in exchange for a honest review and opinion!
In this story, we follow a hotshot, Rowan Kingsley, of an interagency hotshot crew of wildland firefighters, a profession of high-risk, and the one that got away, Violette Taylor, the twin sister of his lost best friend and with whom he grew up.
The plot was just super well constructed, it locks us in and just doesn’t let us go until we finish the book! I read it even faster than the first one! Not the first book from this author that I read so I was expecting it! 🤭
The second chance romance was just relatable, there was a lot of baggage that they had to go over before really falling into the arms of each other again. Whenever you felt that everything was out in the open, there was more baggage but just so important, it really showed us how communication is so important in a relationship.
And their chemistry and connection… AMAZING! Like nothing changed throughout the years! And all the love and caring regarding Violet’s daughter… it was just a cherry on top of the cake
This book is less spicy than the first one but that’s understandable because Rowan and Violet have a lot more history to go through!
Really loving reading more about the hotshot environment, will definitely search for more books with this plot!
Can’t wait to read the last book of the Sky Ridge Hotshots series!
“Violette. I was fucking crazy about you when I was eighteen, and I’m still crazy about you now. You just have to jump with me, let’s see where we land.”
