4 stars for revisiting Mitch & Abby McDeere from The Firm. Minus a star for being over-written, and making most of the characters cardboard cutouts. Maybe something to do with the bland audiobook narrator. Recommend reading this in print or ebook.
Graphic: Death, Gore, Violence, Kidnapping
It’s a Grisham novel, so everything works out well in the end. Mostly.
Really I was interested in whether the movie's different ending (a better one, I felt) would be handled. I don't think it really was. Otherwise, this seemed like a forgettable and fungible main character.

The story line just jumps too much. It doesn’t make any sense from how the characters were framed in book 1. Why would they make this their new life. Why is any of this happening.
It's just not the good old Grisham that got me hooked on legal thrillers. This story was gripping but ended so abruptly that it felt like the author himself got bored with where the story was heading.

The much anticipated return of Mitch McDeere did not disappoint! The Exchange is not just a continuation of Mitch's story; it's a soaring leap into the evolved ecosystem of global law, espionage, and the relentless pursuit of justice. Mitch, the once green, ambitious attorney, now finds his footing as a seasoned partner at the world's largest law firm based in Manhattan when a favor turns into an international conspiracy. While The Exchange ventures into grander, more explosive territories, at its heart, it remains a story about a brilliant lawyer's unyielding quest for justice and survival. For fans old and new, Mitch McDeere's return is a welcome, heart-racing adventure.
