Another enjoyable story by this talented writing team. An early slow pace with the buildup of characters and events that occur during the three timelines. It wasn’t until about halfway through that I really gelt like the story took off. I’m fascinated with the history of the gilded age for some time. The individual stories were compelling and done so seamlessly. Then the way it all comes together was just so imaginative and did not disappoint.

Let me start with I really enjoyed this book. Now I did pick up this book to read because when I read the summary I said I think I know what happened, and I knew most of what happened before I even took the book out from the library. I enjoyed the journey to the end and there were a few side stories in there that where not expected from the summary and where enjoyable. Overall not a bad choice and helped make a long ride more enjoyable.

Lovely summer diversion. Enjoyed the multiple plots / multiple timelines thing and didn’t see the twist coming.
