In the exciting companion novel, the first chapter starts with a flashback of Witch Agnes and how she came to create the veggies. OMG, the baby veggies were so freaking tiny and adorable! Back to the present story, we follow Garlic and Count as they make their way to the Magic Market to get a special ingredient that could complete Count’s blood alternative. Before they start their journey, Garlic is faced with a surprise- she seems to be turning human. Once Garlic and Count return to the village with their haul from the Magic Market, they soon realize that many of the other sentient veggie/fruit residents are also starting to morph into humans. And eventually all of them completely turn to human and are even able to use their own magic. I love how expressive the art is, it’s just great. Garlic’s facial expressions are hilarious and I love them. I love these stories a lot.

As with the first story in this series, this one was cute as well!

Garlic is sent on another adventure by the Witch, and she'll be joined by no other than Count! Meanwhile, back in the village some interesting changes are happening to the Veggie folk. They find out more about how they came to be and what their future will look like.
