Interesting to be sure. Given it's a quadrilogy, I'm willing to let this first book pass as strictly world building so long as the others have more story bulk to them.

This book was hilariously bad. I'm not even sure where to begin because this book had 0 follow through. The plot was non-existent and the characters were easily forgettable. Our FMC is not very interesting and her immediate attraction to him was giving me a headache. I'm so over the "He's so hot but I hate him" trope. It wasn't enemies to lovers AT ALL. It was super one-sided and it felt like a giant mix of every other fae fantasy book I've read. I didn't need to finish to already guess where the plot was headed. It's disappointing because the world-building wasn't awful and it had some potential. (although the plot itself wasn't unique) It could've been executed better, had it been longer.
