I liked Angel Burn, i didn't love it. The beginning was very slow, but as i read on it grew on me and i ended up speeding through it. Even though i liked this book and rate it at a four it wasn't exciting enough to make me want to read the next book in this series. Im sure maybe one day ill want to read it, but right now i really dont have the drive. I liked this one, but not enough to continue on.
This book was totaly different. These angels aren't good creatures. These angels are bad creatures. But I loved every bit of it and I can't wait for the sequel!
3.75 stars. When I started reading Angel Burn, I didn't think that I'd finish it. The plot started out slowly, and I couldn't connect with the characters. I'm so glad I read until the end!
This book is a great mix of relatable characters, nerve-wracking action, and really good imagery.
When Alex takes Willow from Pawtucket, the entire book changed for me. The writing was easy to empathize with. I could feel Willows pain of leaving her family and Alex's anxiety over the angels. As they raced through the country, trying to find a safe place, the excitement and anticipation kept building. So did the undeniable connection between Willow and Alex. The entire second-half of the book I was chanting: "Get together, stop denying yourselves." And then they did. And it was incredible. When they're together in Alex's cabin, just being with each other, I could've sworn I was there. The way everything just perfectly unfolded made me want to scream and cry because it was just so darn cute! Then, of course, Willow leaves and Alex's pain practically radiated through the pages. However, it all turned out okay in the end and all I can say is I can't wait to read the second book!

I read this book when I was in school and loved it then reading it now my view has not changed much I love the connection between Alex and will and love the twist at the end.
The premise of Angel Burn enticed me straight away. It was so cool- angels aren't the heroes. It was different from the other books of angels wherein it's all about the good angels vs. bad or fallen angels and I was happy about that.
*there are very small spoilers here that won't ruin the story but tell a bit more than the synopsis*
Angel Burn is written in alternating points of view. Sometimes we read of Alex, an Angel Killer. Other times of Willow, our lovely half-angel. There were smaller parts of others like Raziel from the Church of Angels. This led to a more complete story as we could see it from different angles. I developed a liking for Alex and Willow. They were both individuals with hard histories and I was rooting for them. I could feel their tension and Ms. Weatherly kept it going till about 300 pages in. When they finally get together (which isn't really much of a spoiler since it's kinda expected) they had an adorable honeymoon-ish period.
The issue I had was that while I thought everything happening was so sweet and adorable, I never clicked with the characters. I liked them enough but I didn't love any of them. I didn't cry when they were sad and when I read about their pasts while I thought "dang, that must have been awful" I didn't feel much. That may have just been me, not the book so another reader may feel differently.
The story could have been more action filled. A lot of it was driving around to places and waiting. There were many questions but not many answers. It was enjoyable to read but long so I wasn't as attentive as I could have been. I do think that the next book will have more action in it though, so I'm anticipating that.
The best thing about Angel Burn is definitely the world. Ms. Weatherly wrote about a very unique concept and totally made it her own. The Church of Angels was downright creepy and the method of angel hunting was cool. The setting was well thought out and there was lots of interesting back stories that helped the authenticity of the novel. I'm wondering what could happen next.
Overall, Angel Burn was a great book with action, suspense and romance. You'll be mesmerized by the incredible world and will keep flipping pages because of the romance. 3.5 stars,

This is a cute little paranormal romance about a part-angel who falls in love with an angel assassin. It's a typical forbidden romance kind of story, which I usually seem to enjoy. The idea of angels being heavenly protectors is entirely reconstructed in this book and I liked reading Weatherly's fresh perspective on angels. The main characters, Willow and Alex, were both intriguing narrators with unique voices - I liked reading about them on their own, and in fact, my only problem with this book is that, at times, their romance was a bit too melodramatic and sugar-coated for my taste. It had all the trappings of young love, but the way their relationship progressed seemed rushed and I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes a few times. The writing could have been stronger, but it wasn't bad.
The ending was pretty great. Very climactic and intense - loved it!
Overall, I liked this book. I'd recommend it to YA readers who are looking for a light, fluffy book to get through in a few hours.

This is the best angel paranormal romance that I have read in awhile and I have read many of them recently I just loved how the story flowed. I liked the characters very much they did things for a reason and their desitions made sense and did not happen out of nowhere. I liked the gradual and slow romance that did not fully develop until closer the end of the story it was sweet and romantic when the romance was finally developed. So, all in all, I enjoyed this book a lot and will read the rest of the trilogy when I can.
3.5 stars-- Very interesting concept and a quick read. I will be reading the next one soon

A great book. So glad I bought it.
I was thoroughly intrigued with the new twist on angels. Angels are almost always considered to be something good. They are not normally perceived as a bad thing. That is why I loved this book so much. It wasn't normal. After a while, you get tired of reading the same type of stuff all the time.
Willow was an interesting character from the beginning. When it is revealed that she is half angel, it throws a whole new twist into the story. Then enters Alex, the Angel Killer. Another interesting twist in the story. Can't say I all that surprised though when Alex and Willow got together. They just seem like they were made for each other, even if Willow is part angel.
Well worth the money. You will not be disappointed. (In my opinion anyway.)
