this was honestly a slog to get through for the first 1/3 or 1/2 and then it got really fucking awesome. still a little confused, still wish I’d read it as a teenager. adam could’ve been more developed. the grey man rocked.

I listened to Spotify audiobook and the narration is simply brilliant: even Kavinsky's accent was so well done. He was such an interesting character, at first I was like, hm,. I don't think he's evil, but he sounds like an ass, but as time progressed we get to see whatever weird toxic thing Ronan and him had going on
Kavinsky started pissing me off when he started taking out from his dreams so much cabeswater was starting to die but he didn't care...

I absolutely loved this!!!!! What a wonderful follow up to book 1. Stiefvater’s writing remains wonderful to read, I especially love the beginning and ending with the whole Ronan “secrets” sequence , and her characters are even more compelling here. The tension! The conflict! The teenage angst! The layers and complexity of characterization! I love it
