I'm wrecked

The story wasn't what I expected and if I'd known more about the content, I wouldn't have chosen to read it. But that would have been a mistake. It was more than worth my time. No matter how hard.

Oh this book. It’s lovely and real and heartbreaking.

I won’t say anything else as you should go into this book not knowing anything.

For people not understanding why Mike never told Liam he loved him, it seems they completely misunderstood Mike's character.
Mike doesn't believe words (thanks to his father), he believes in actions.
Liam told Mike he loved him all the time, that meant nothing to Mike.
Liam stayed. That meant everything to Mike!

Starts off SO strong. Mike is funny. But he 1) doesnt put his money wear his internal monologue mouth is in terms of hot rough sex, 2) gets more and more grim and less funny, 3) the one again off again never actually evolving as people/characters thing that the two of them have going is really unrewarding.

2.5 rounding down. I really wanted to love it more, but I feel like I didn’t really get to know the characters and it felt like Mike and Liam didn’t really grow throughout the story.

How was this one of the funniest books I've read but also one of the absolute saddest. Phenomenal book
