I absolutely loved this book. It definitely lived up to the "this is not a romance, though it is a love story" description, and I did more than my fair share of ugly crying at the ending. A fantastic story that I think will stick with me.

I'm the first one surprised of giving five stars to such a filthy book! I usually don't go near smut, but I'm so happy/emotionally destroyed that I survived that first part of the book, because after that, the most heartbreaking-devastating story was waiting for me.
Hated both these character at the beginning. The age gap, the annoying brat, the grumpy adult making bad decision after bad decision... But ended up loving them with all my heart.
I'm going to keep Mike and Liam (my hero!!) so close to me for a very long time ❤️‍🩹

I'm just not the kind of person that can give a book that made me that sad and made me cry that much a high rating. I don't read books to have and emotional experience or learn life lessons like they expect every time you're assigned a book to read in school. I read to maybe have a laugh and enjoy something happy or heart warming. I read to forget about how terrible the world can be. Through no fault of the authors, this had a negative impact on my day, so I'm unhappy. That being said, it was well written and did a wonderful job conveying the emotions of the characters. If you like books that stab you in the heart and don't turn around and give you twice as much happiness in the end to make up for it, then this may be a good book for you.
