This BOOK!!!!!! My god. I don't bother to record a lot of romance novels I read on Goodreads but this book was an experience. I recently listened to a podcast where a professor was questioning whether books are designed to elicit anger as an emotion as often as sadness. Hahaha. This book broke my goddamn heart so unexpectedly that I was absolutely furious about it. I remember being in bed weeping angry tears and feeling so gutted because I'd had NO IDEA how it would end and (however irrationally) I felt betrayed because I had gone into the book feeling secure in my expectations that this would be a happily ever after love story. I was a fool. Was it a good book? I couldn't even tell you. Anyway I still follow her original fiction (but I am ON GUARD).

um… wow i did not expect to like this nearly as much as i did or be hurting like this lowkey those last few chapters were painful, especially being at work and i can’t sob. i’ll definitely be thinking about this for a while
