The series really took a turn for the better with Awakened. I loved the twists at the end with Heath and Linda, but I can't understand why Neferet is still allowed at the House of Night. You'd think she would at least be suspended with pay (lol) until the council could sort everything out! And I'm also getting tired of the tunnels. I want Zoey and her gang to take back the school, and resume going to classes!
Probably about a two and a half. I kind of just want the series to be over. It's being dragged out too long. But this book was a bit better than book 7, so I'll likely read the rest of the series. I'm still hoping it can end strong... Because the series did start out strong.

It's coming out Tuesday, and wow am I excited. Bring on some Stevie-Rae and Rephaim! And some Zoey and Stark aswell I guess...But really, this book looks pretty damn nice, and both covers are really cool. Please, Miss Cast(s), get the ninth one published soon? ;D

So this is the last book I am rereading from high school when it came out.
But let's forget that because I literally don't remember this book at all.. Except vaguely that Linda dies? So I must have read this but ugh it was over a decade ago so I forgive myself as after this book I really didn't touch many books for many years as I got too busy with college.
Anyway, it was great. I think since burned this series just keeps chugging along and I like that about series. I can keep circling the same review mumbo jumbo I've been saying, but as the series has been going its got a clear plot now and although it'll be mostly predictable when it ends thee has been a few surprises and to see Zoey and her clan say F it and leave the HoN to live in the depot again is an interesting choice but for here I don't know exactly where the plot is to go? Like.. Neferet is still horrible, and likely she's gonna have to be put in her place. I don't know if Kalona can even die? Or if Neferet can either? We'll see what happens with Heath too which will be interesting.
Anyway, if I hadn't finished this while away for the weekend and then forgot to comeback and still had all my thoughts this would pro ably be a better review, but same as I've been saying.. I will jump into the Dragon novella and then to Destined

So I finished this book quite fast because I'm up to the stage where I need to know what is happening in this series. I have to say I devastated when (that big thing that happens in the book) actually happens. I don't know if Glee is going to be the same for me now!
By the way, I found there was A LOT of product placement in the book. It may not have been on purpose but there was a lot about iphones, Internet and all these things that are current with our modern society. Don't get me wrong I can understand what Cast and Cast are doing. They are trying to keep the books modern and current. Ok, fair enough. But I think it may laid on a little too thick. We don't need the product placement to feel how modern the story is. I think it would also time constrict the story in the future. I mean I may want to read this book again when I'm older. You can't really read this book in like 20 years when they are talking about Iphones and Glee.
Anyway the story is moving forward which I am glad. I like where its going (by the way how many books are going to be in the series?) anyway...

Slightly better than the last one with a bit more happening but overall average. I really like Rephaim and Stevie Rae's relationship and I'm glad of the outcome between them in this book. Zoey and Stark are cute but they got another storm coming! The ending really shocked me, I know Neferet is evil but the lengths she is willing to go to rule the world seem never ending.
