I haven’t read a book this compelling in a long time. It utterly broke my heart and while each twist and turn made sense, I still didn’t see them coming.

Also, each character was drawn so well. They weren’t just caricatures but actual, real people making good or bad choices.

This novel is excellent. I enjoyed it so much that I finished in 6 days. I understand the hype about this author. She’s so good.

3.5! I had this in my audiobook rotation. The premise of this book is fantastic. The author really explores so many topics in a nuanced yet fleshed out way. I think the overall narration style wasn’t for me, however. A lot of back stories and tbh I didn’t actually care about the kids in the story. Overall I think this book was very entertaining and I was definitely yelling “you BITCH” at certain points (if you know you know). I recommend, just don’t think I’m a huge fan of books that almost read as movies? If that makes sense?
