super nice quick read. like literally takes like one hour. writing is both gorgeous and intriguing, in an ominous sort of way. personally i felt that the resolution to the story kind of came out of nowhere which was a weird finish for a book ab0ut climate crisis

This is a lovely, spare book with this epic story at the edges as it centers on a mother and a wife moving through a broken and changed world. It’s like breathing. It’s strange and filling and emptying and I really liked it. I even like the letter-names. The fragments throughout that are like paraphrased bible passages or displaced future descriptions of the events in the novels present are cool and add to the airy timelessness of it. The only grounding thing is the baby’s growth and i find that fascinating. Was a lil confused at times but overall a charming weird lovely gem of a book. And the cover is brilliant too.
