I have been devouring this series. I can’t get enough of it. This second chance romance keeps you on your toes. Each book in the series will bring you more players that are involved. This group of friends have each others back no matter what. Holland and Dex are meant to be and they show you that you will do anything to keep the one you love safe.

I was almost disappointed with this book. The first part kind of dragged for me. While I'm all for building back story it was just a little much for me.... AND THEN CAME THE SECOND HALF!!!! Dax and Holland have a painful past I wasn't sure they could overcome but with each twist in this plot it draws them closer to their inevitable fate together. The love between them is real and palpable. I'm so obsessed with this series I can't wait to see what happens next. 5 more well deserved stars for Shayla Black

Big Easy Temptation is Book 3 in The Perfect Gentleman series now this book is Dax and Holland’s story, it’s a second chance romance with so many twists and turns and so many things that’ll have you second-guessing the next move.

several years ago, both Dax and Holland work as NCIS agents and had a pretty steamy affair, but Holland betrayed him, and not only that, she did it while he was grieving his father. Dax spent years trying to put her behind him, trying to leave her in the past, he was trying to move on with his life. But when The Perfect Gentlemen start to unravel so insane truth about his family and the tragic death holds much more of a larger conspiracy which lands Dax in New Orleans, which is exactly where the love of his life is awaiting him, where Holland is. She’s got secrets and she’s holding them tight-lipped, but she still holds a torch for the first man she’s ever loved, which is Dax.

Once the two of them are even in the same room as each other, the intensity and all-consuming passion between the two begins to surface and they can’t help but be drawn back to one another.

Just it’s not that simple, so much awaits them, it’s a struggle for them both to get back to each other, so many obstacles standing in the middle of them, but it does not stop them from trying to get back what they once had.

This book is a roller coaster, it sure all hell had my head spinning a good chunk of the time, you start to get more answering but they are only replaced by even more questions, it’ll have your brain on overdrive trying to figure out what’s about to happen, and once you’ve finished, it’ll have you begging for more!

Absolutely loved Big Easy Temptation, it was written to perfection with both authors being absolutely amazing at what they do. From the small quirky things right down to the big and very detailed chapters. Lexi Blake and Shayla Black delivered an incredible, unforgettable plot, and I expected nothing less.

5 stars!!

Big Easy Temptation is the third book in the Perfect Gentlemen series and I will admit this is probably the third time I picked it up. The first two I tried and couldn’t get into it, I just wasn’t in the mood for it especially with the whole betrayal and this type of second chance that I tend to struggle with at times with. But I finally was in the right mood because you know what they say third time the charm? Well its true. I really had such a blast with this book and more intrigues and mystery revealed in the plot of the series as a whole.

In Big Easy Temptation we get our military man of the group….Dax Spencer. Dax has devoted his life to the Navy and has lived for the military but most of all “family” his father especially is his heart. And when a scandal breaks out surrounding his father and then his father is claimed dead from suicide Dax knows its not true and wants a deeper investigation. So he goes to the only person he knows that will bring justice for his father….Holland Kirk who is a NCIS agent. At first Holland has doubts, but the more Dax reveals to her the more she knows that something more must be going on. But then when something more happens and Holland betrays Dax or at least he thinks she does. Now Dax is returned ….he wants the truth and he wants answers and won’t stop until he has conquered her fears and her heart…

Naval officer Dax Spencer is still reeling from his recent discovery related to his father’s death, calling into question everything that was assumed about it being a supposed suicide and the reasons behind it. Now he’s headed back to New Orleans, the center of the original investigation and to NCIS Agent Holland Kirk who led it, betrayed him and broke his heart.

I liked how the story was structured, beginning with Dax and Holland’s first meetings, their reunion years later when she helped him reopen his father’s investigation and the reason for their permanent separation. Their backstory is extremely important to the present day events and it was well crafted. I got the depth of their feelings for each other and why her betrayal cut so deep. I also gained understanding about his short-lived Las Vegas marriage and all that it implied. Dax’s return to New Orleans marked the first time he’s seen Holland since their breakup and he stirred the proverbial hornets nest with others involved in the first investigation.

I enjoyed everything about this story, including the romance. Dax is so likable, as is Holland, and they both have strong personalities, fully committed to their careers. But it’s still the continuing mystery arc that’s enthralled me with the series and this story. Things get really dicey as Dax and Holland get closer to the truth regarding Admiral Spencer’s supposed suicide and more. It’s exciting and Kaleo Griffith delivered a great performance in his narration, handling a host of characters and fine storytelling. I’m now anxious to move on to the next book.

Dax Spencer and Holland Kirk have been circling each other for years, but when it seems like they might actually have a chance together, Holland lies to Dax making him believe that she has done things to hurt his family and walks out on him. In reality, Holland is trying to protect Dax from the same people that murdered his father. Dax reacts by getting drunk and marrying Holland's friend in Vegas. After three years apart, the two must come back together when the conspiracy that the Perfect Gentlemen have been tracking for years comes back to New Orleans and Holland's front doorstep.

Big Easy Temptation is the third installment in The Perfect Gentlemen series. All of the same characters are present as in the other books, but this book focuses on the relationship between Dax and Holland. We get a good strong female character in Holland who works in NCIS in New Orleans. She proves to be not only a good investigator, but can also handle herself when things get physical. The bond between Holland and Dax is believable, but would benefit from more communication. The continuing story line of the mystery of who killed Mad in the first book, is woven into this story with ease. Overall, Big Easy Temptation is a good romance with enough suspense to keep the mystery of The Perfect Gentlemen going.

When I read a story that has a previous relationship that clearly ended in betrayal, I really don't like going through the whole part at the beginning, knowing the betrayal is coming. In this case, it was half the book, without letup. And it lasted a long time, because I was listening. It got much better when we were back in present action, and the authors mercifully didn't let a misunderstanding go unaddressed very long. The book did a good job advancing the larger story involving a great big international conspiracy, and I look forward to the next book, in order to see what happens there. The characters involved haven't impressed me, so far, though.
