The only reason why I'm picking up this book is because I miss my skrunkly blorbo (Will Graham) so much and incidentally, the library has this available. BUT god, nothing really remarkable to be honest. It's interesting to know Francis Dolarhyde more in-depth, though. Seeing Will being so much assertive in front of Jack is also a nice experience. Overall the book is fineeeee.

I started The silence of the lambs and then realized it was the second one so started this one. I didn’t enjoy the view of the main character as much as I had in the being of the silence of the lambs, but I did enjoy the police procedural aspects of the book. Hannibal Lector wasn’t in it as much as I was expecting which was a bit disappointing. I also really didn’t like the last line 20%. But the beginning was pretty good and will definitely continue.

"The Tooth Fairy will go on and on until we get smart or get lucky."

although red dragon has a very intriguing plot, it isn't half as interesting as the author seemed to think it was. maybe this just wasn't the book for me, but i find it hard to enjoy a reading when i root for the good guys simply because the bad guy is even less interesting than they are. also, the lack of hannibal lecter? completely unacceptable. i'm willing to say the two stars i'm rating this are only there for the three times we heard of lecter.
