Since Hannibal is such a huge name in horror, I was surprised to find out that he's merely a side character in the book. Also, the pacing is odd. There's a fake resolution, followed by a rushed 4-page infodump to wrap it all up with a bow, and I was still left confused.
I'm sure this would be a fantastic read for someone who enjoys a murder mystery book, but I got into it thinking it would be pure horror, and I don't necessarily feel like I got that.
