I should've stopped with Inkheart. I found that story to be engaging and well-paced, and the characters to be fleshed out well, whereas with Inkspell the opposite appears to be true. I wasn't much into the book when I found myself skimming to get to the end of a chapter, not because I was eager to learn what happens next, but because I just wanted to get it over with. I will not be finishing the trilogy.

Probably just not for me. I wasn’t in love with the first one and after reading the first chapter of this one, I figured it’s probably not something I want to finish.
Life’s too short to force yourself to finish books or series you don’t love.
