"The boy was still holding Maggie's hand with one of his own, while his other held the knife, the knife that Dustfinger had given him in another life, in another story."

So this answered my question "what if Chronicles of Narnia just had more pages so it could go more in depth" and the answer is 600+ pages to read a middle grade plot that has a lot of tell instead of show is at times painfully boring to get through. I still rated it a 4 though because the book is well written and thorough. It just feels like a dated story format. It isn't my fault I'm a hater and this wasn't a personal 4
