Main criticism: too many characters
Will not be finishing this childhood series

I liked this one better than the first book. (Very unusual I know.) I think it’s because this book focuses a lot more on what’s going on inside Inkworld rather than just focusing on the characters that have come out of the book into our world.

I really enjoyed the story, even though it seemed to drag on and build into something that never came. I absolutely love the most of the characters, Dustfinger, Farid, and the Black Prince being some of my favorites. They also had the most interesting stories to me. The ending hurt me, and I really hope that there is a happy ending for Dustfinger, he just always gets a whole bunch of shit piled up on him.
It took such a long time to read and finish it at last...Part of because I didn't find much time to actually read, and because it was dragged out so much. Nevertheless, I liked it: the story was interesting and the idea gave me inspiration to write my own story. I liked Mo - such a soft hearted man! And I liked Resa- she was a brave woman. Meggy was a good character too, even sometimes she and Farid were annoying. I liked Dustfinger even more in this book and his wife Roxanne was a great character.)) The other characters didn't stand out much though. I didn't particularly like Fenoglio but I understood him very well. The cons of this book were:1. So long and dragged, boring in some parts. 2. No chemistry between Meggy and Farid. I didn't like their romance. Dustfinger and Roxane was better)) 3. It was tiring to read all these point of views (( That's why 3 stars)
