El Pozo de la Ascensión by Brandon Sanderson

Another slow start, but the momentum kicked in... eventually. Come on, you've already read the whole brick of the first book in the series, what's another 700+ page commitment now?

The worldbuilding remains a strength and the plot definitely keeps twisting away with many avenues left to be explored. Vin and Elend are still... there. Not sure either have really grown on me, but I'm suspending my disbelief about their romance and just rolling with it.

Bring on The Hero of Ages!

The twists at the end was keeping me on edge. Another great book in this series, albeit a bit slow through the middle.
Vin and Zane's fight was so incredible to read. Also, TenSoon helping her even though it broke contract really got to me... I was tearing up for all of them during that scene. So so great.

It’s another very good addition to the series and I had mostly a lot of fun reading further into this story. I think I slumped a bit through the middle, and maybe that was just some personal reading fatigue as I can’t point to a specific reason why. But maybe it also just didn’t feel like a ton was happening and was leaving me with more questions of where everything was headed? The end of the book is a mad dash of information and kept the pages turning. That seems to be a theme for Sanderson which makes it fun, but if he could keep that pacing a little more consistent through the entire book I think I would enjoy it even more!
