I did like how slow paced it was as it allowed for some great development of characters especially side characters. The ending was fantastic while also being one of the most frustrating things I've ever read. Overall I enjoyed it but didn't love it, but I'm so excited for the next one!

That fight scene with Zane? I was gasping, screaming, rioting. 10/10 scene

It's rare that a fantasy book surprises me and this one managed it multiple times with some great twists. Especially well paced for a middle book in a trilogy.
