A fascinating re-read. 

What sticks out to me as an adult, besides the extra horror of using Children, is the sense of ever-present surveillance. The act of acting for self preservation while navigating real emotions is illustrated very well.

I grew up with the movies and they were amazing but the book gives you sooo much information that isn’t in the movie, so if you’re putting this book off because you already watched the movie than STOPPPP becuase the book is super good!!!
