A fascinating re-read.
What sticks out to me as an adult, besides the extra horror of using Children, is the sense of ever-present surveillance. The act of acting for self preservation while navigating real emotions is illustrated very well.

Obviously a reread and geared for much younger readers, but still lives up to its YA prowess.
