The world-building was phenomenal and had me interested right from the beginning! It was an interesting plot with lots of unexpected things as well as predictable things but I still enjoyed all of it. The humor was so fun and had me cackling as I listened. Will definitely be reading more of this author!

Sometimes you rate a book 5 stars because it just fills you with so much joy. This was my first ever Ali Hazelwood book, and what an introduction.

As a teenager, I absolutely ate up paranormal romances. So this really felt like returning to my roots. The vibes were really vibing and I just had so much fun.

I really loved the cast of characters - with a particular soft spot for Ana and Serena. I really enjoyed the ways the characters played off each other and interacted (I’m always a fan of characters who awkwardly don’t know how to interact with children, it makes me feel seen).

More importantly, the romance had me grinning like a lunatic. Every tension filled conversation, every glance, every moment of awkwardly attempting to avoid the inevitable. Perfect. I was absolutely sat.

At the end of the day, this book set out to do exactly what it meant to, it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed every second of reading it. It’s nothing groundbreaking or deep. And did I predict a bunch of plot points? Yeah. Do I care? Absolutely not (or should I say knot?).

I'm about to be unhinged about this book. I need more after that epilogue!! I wish I could give it 10000/5 stars! I'll be re-reading. I'll be buying a physical copy. I'll be reading everything Ali Hazelwood has ever written. I'll be recommending to anyone who will listen.
