A fine, straightforward book. The contrivances of a romance novel, with some fun supernatural elements. Not the most compelling, but an enjoyable read nonetheless.

This was my first read by Ali Hazelwood and while it was an easy book to finish, I don't think I would recommend it.

The chemistry between Misery and Lowe was missing, although I found their relationship to be at least a little endearing. The plot felt rushed at the end and

the breakup scene just seemed so out of place.

Overall a quick read but unsatisfying and felt like it could have used more development of the world and the characters.

This was the first non stem novel I’ve read from Ali Hazelwood, and I loved every minute of it. There were twists that I expected and many that I never saw coming. This book takes you on a ride I didn’t want to get off. You’ve outdone yourself, Ali.
