I just love the story here and the characters. Victoria has such a way with tales and she is so good about these little sentences in the story that just stick with you. The story continued, this time in Paris, and it did not disappoint. I slightly liked the first one better but very excited to move on to number 3.

This book was pretty similar to the first one. With this second one, though, I’m starting to wonder about the message of the book, because there isn’t much of one. I guess there’s the importance of friendship because of how Cass and Jacob are bound together, but beyond that there doesn’t seem to be much substance behind the book, and I think middle grade children can handle more.
