This read like a children's version of the Archived and I really enjoyed it! Definitely more of a fan of the adult books Schwab writes, but this is fun and quick and reminds me of the books I read as a kid.

I don't feel like it has been a long time since I listened to the first book .. but at the same time it felt like it has been 84 years since I even knew about Cassidy Blake. Luckily for me, Tunnel of Bones was available on my hoopla! I was a little disappointed that the audio was only 5 hours long though - ugh, I wanted more!
Well, since we've already met Cassidy back in her first book - [b:City of Ghosts|35403058|City of Ghosts (Cassidy Blake, #1)|Victoria Schwab|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1516638225l/35403058._SY75_.jpg|56772894] - I have been completed intrigued by her. Even her parents are unique and interesting in their own way. Yet, all I really care about is her "friendship" with Jacob. Ugh, slowly seeing the very teeny tiny sexual tension (in my head) but who knows.. maybe a relationship could blossom between her and the ghost.
Mostly because I just love Jacob - like so much. He's freaking hilarious and always has her back. God I love him and I can't wait for their next adventure. Then there's Cassidy herself who seems like Nancy Drew in the ghost world.. but she's pretty witty and funny all on her own. Although I am a bit worried about what the next book will bring - especially after the cliffhanger in this one.
Will her parents keep a closer eye on her?

On the bright side, these books are really easy to read as they're for kids... On the not so bright side, I'm left wanting more! So much more!
This second book follows Cassidy as she and her family (plus ghost best friend Jacob) as they film episode two of their ghost tv show in Paris. I knew this would largely take place in the catacombs, but it was still super eerie to learn about. This book totally amped up the creepy factor! I'd say this one is better than book one, but still toned down enough for middle graders.
Overall, a great second book and I look forward to more!
