Omg the story is getting more tensed! I just love it and I am always on the edge of my bed reading through this; praying my strawhats be okay!
Five stars for what Luffy said about not wanting to know about the future. He has a clear goal of becoming the king of the pirates but he wouldn’t wanna become one by skipping any step that he wants to take. All the adventures, building up connections making enemies along the way and standing up to protect his Nakama! Just what are you Luffy! He gives out a great lesson to not rush it! To enjoy and savor and live in the moment and die if you have to kind of vibe. He is already a king! *Love hurricane towards Luffy*
While lacking in the pathos of Usopp vs. Luffy, this definitely matches Water 7 in terms of crafting a thrilling, engaging arc that's secretly mostly setup

There is a universal truth about the Straw Hat Pirates, and it is this: Whatever Luffy does, the crew will back him up. Even if it’s insane. Even if it defies all logic, physics, and basic common sense. Especially if it defies basic common sense. And in this volume, that trust is completely justified. Because when Luffy decides something, reality just has to adjust accordingly.
Of course, the situation quickly spirals into complete chaos. Other pirates with high bounties get dragged into the mess as well. If you’re in a lawless, high-stakes, no-rules brawl, you might as well drag in every lunatic in the vicinity. It’s only fair.
Now, the best part about this volume is that while the world of One Piece keeps expanding, it’s also somehow getting smaller. Threads that seemed unconnected suddenly weave together. Characters who were seemingly miles apart in relevance are now bumping into each other like it’s some kind of pirate-themed family reunion. The lore is getting deeper, the stakes are getting higher, and every new revelation feels like Oda saying, Oh, you thought that was impressive? Here, have some more world-building. I would like to see even more honestly. This is the kind of story where the history feels alive, full of conspiracies, old legends, and battles that still leave ripples generations later.
And speaking of battles, this volume is intense. The Straw Hats aren’t just up against bigger, badder enemies, they’re up against a whole system that wasn’t built for people like them to win. And yet, they fight. And they don’t hesitate to throw themselves in harm’s way to protect each other. That’s what makes them admirable.
The simultaneous battles are a lot though. At one point, I half expected to open a page and see another entirely new fight breaking out in the margins. But that’s this manga for you: everything happening all at once, at maximum chaos.
