The Governor... Man, that guy redefines "evil" and "villain".

So far, every other volume has been spicier.

I blew through the first five volumes too quick, and the series took a great turn with this one. Very dark twist of events. The last couple volumes were a little soapy, so I'm glad to see some action here and get a new antagonist introduced. Good stuff.

3 very conflicted stars

First off I like this series. This is a great look at how humanity either deteriorates or survives in a world where so much of human kind is gone. From a survival aspect this book is fascinating.

On the other hand, I have come to the conclusion that Robert Kirkman hates women. I mean, really. Lori is unbearable and whines about the effort her husband makes to create a better place for them. Carol is a giant fucking mess and
tries to enter into a marriage with Rick and Lori. Like, sex with both of them. This is after her failed suicide attempt after Tyreese cheats on her.
Michonne well, fuck. What happened to her was tragic and it's no wonder she hates the Governor.

I will repeat what I said in my last review. I'm glad that the television series did not follow the same path the books did in regard to the female characters. Because on the show, the majority of them are kick ass warriors.

On a side note, this would be me during the apocalypse:

My new favorite. A little more exciting than the others, especially in the second half.

Honestly kind of boring and it’s interesting to meet the governor but he’s a sick man so it’s disturbing to read.

This is certainly the most hardcore volume of the series, very violent and gore. lot of action, and at this point you know that anything could happen to anyone so you always have to stay alert. very good one!
