I’ll See You Again is a heartbreaking look into a mother’s grief. After a tragic accident takes all three of her young daughters' lives, Jackie Hance tries to pick up the pieces. She doesn’t shy away from her emotions in this book. It’s a very difficult read, but I feel like Jackie manages to add relatable lessons for all of us along the way.
In my opinion, many of the reviews about the author’s personal character are unfair. While there are moments in the book when she acts unreasonably, most of the book is written within a year and a half of the accident. I don’t expect anyone to have perfect coping mechanisms after just 18 months. She also doesn’t mention much about her husband’s emotions at the time, but I didn’t really expect her to. After all, it's her memoir and there’s no way she could have known how he was feeling in those moments.

I couldn’t put this book down. There were many parts that made me almost cry and also many times I caught myself smiling or even laughing through some other parts of the book. Follows up on what the parents went through after the crash instead of Diane. Very worth the read.
Almost all the reviews on here are saying the same thing "I was expecting to get answers as to why this tragedy happened but". How can anyone think she has the answer. Jackie wasn't the one behind the wheel. She still is struggling with not having the answers herself. It was heartfelt and very honest. I cried and smiled at all her stories about her beautiful daughters and of all the people that came together and supported her and her husband when they needed them the most. It's a horrible experience that they will never get over but they have each other.

I knew going into this book that it would be a tough one to read. It really was GUT wrenching. Absolutely heart breaking.
A painful read for me because of Miranda, but it was a little satisfying to read someone else having similar thoughts and emotions that I felt.
