I love those characters to death but this was boring for me. The first 60% is the same thing over and over again, internal monologues about their feelings with no ends. 'I love him but he have a Bf so we don't have a future' every chapters for 200 pages, it never moves on. Ugh.
And so many questions never answered. When they go back together so many discussions should have been had but no, they skip all that for a freaking happy ever after that fell flat for me. They never talk about their issues, the distance is erased so everything ok now.
Also the married at 23 is not a thing I enjoy.
I love some good pining, I looove second chance romance but this was too long. All the charm from the first book isn't find in the sequel, they just do the same things and activities that in the first so nothing new to keep me interested.
Thank god for Dylan. Like I said I love Arthur and Ben to bits and I loved reading more about them, I love knowing they are end game and happy but this didn't felt like a book, more like a free novella or a fanfiction.

I had such a difficult time finishing this bc it was so incredibly messy to read but I’m so glad I pushed through. I feel awful for the way the story played out and for the people who were hurt in the process but everyone got the happy ending they dreamed of

Title: Here’s to us
Author: Becky Albertalli, Adam Silvera
Narrator: Noah Galvin, Froy Gutierrez
Length: 10h 9m
Published: 28 Dec 2021
Rating: 4.8/5.0
After reading multiple books by both Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera and I can honestly say that I have a soft spot for them. While the former is known for her feel-good, coming-of-age stories, Adam Silvera is known of his sweet but heart-wrenching stories. Here’s to use (sequel to What if it’s us) displays both authors talents.
Central to both authors work are the relationships and friendships, and this book is no exception. The friendships between the characters feel genuine and there is a lot of chemistry between characters. Even though Arthur and Ben are in relationships with other people, it is clear they have bond that is not so easily broken. I loved their interactions and how their bond grew stronger throughout the story.
Continuing, I loved the theme of the story: Figuring out what you want from your life. Both Ben and Arthur struggle with this question and what role each other would play in their lives. I thought their struggle to find their purpose in life relatable.
I loved that Arthur and Ben got a chance to reconnect again after their summer together in New York. It was great to see both characters more mature. The sequel played homage to the first book with familiar settings, however, it has its on story arc. The only thing I disliked a little bit was the epilogue. In my opinion they were too many time jumps and it felt a bit rushed.
In summary, I loved the conclusion of Ben and Arthur’s story. It was great time reading about these kind and goofy characters. I loved reading about their journey and I think they got the ending they deserved.
Rating breakdown: plot (4.5/5) characters (4.5/5), writing (5/5), worldbuilding (5/5), overall enjoyment (5/5)
Trigger warnings: None I can think of.

ok this definitely wasnt what i was expecting and it did seem a little repetitive at times but i dont even really care that much bc i love arthur and ben. i wish there was less thinking about each other and actually just hanging out? i obviously get that ben and arthur are supposed to be confused which is why its so dragged out but it just didnt need to be going on for as long as it did. i legit read this so fast today so i could get to arthur and ben content lol. their boyfriends were boring as well and i didnt care. also why was hudson brought back into this? it was stupid and unnecessary. im not usually a huge fan of proposals & weddings in books but i did really like the proposals in this one! weddings i couldve done without but stillll good enough.
