I didn’t want to read this book because I was waiting for the perfect time for me to enjoy it. But today as I turned the last page and smiled a satisfied smile, I realised there is no perfect time to read a book. There is only a perfect book.
One of the best.
Jeffery Archer, you truly are a master.

A guilty pleasure ........... kinda like admitting you enjoy listening to Britney Spears. The story was good, but rather hokey.

This book was quite interesting. It follows Danny Cartwright, who has been falsely accused of murdering his best friend. So the main plot of this book is revenge against the people who caused Danny to end up behind bars. It did get a little slow in the middle but it picked up right where it left off towards the ending. I immensely enjoyed reading this book.

An amazing book, full of plot twists that you would never see coming. The character development was fantastic, I really felt like I knew them as people and the atmosphere was so effectively construed, it felt like I was in the courtroom audience as I read it.
mysterious fast-paced

I liked this book, but I didn't love it. It was easy to read and had an interesting plot line, but for some nagging reason it just did not hold my attention. After I put it down, I found it hard to find the time to pick it back up. I probably expected more from an Archer novel and wasn't finding what I'd hoped for. I would still read it again--but maybe when I had more free time to spare.

This was my first Jeffrey Archer book. I was reading for my book club. Overall, it was a good read. The pace was a little slow for me in the first half but I do feel that this is where Danny's character start to grow. I really enjoyed the second half as this is where the action starts.  The book had a good level of description where I was able ro visualise what was happening as I read.
