It feels mean to put a book this far down but like honestly it was a weird experience. the characters didn’t feel fleshed out (lily is cute, sam is shy), or maybe it was because it was so different from what i felt like was my queer experience.
I did like the bits where lily is talking about her clothes. Idk why but i just didn t believe in the chemistry, it felt a bit rushed, odd, confusing?

This novella had me instantly! It kept popping up as recommended. So, what could I do? Read it, that’s what. I’m glad I did. The story is about a 40 something professor that is trying to find themselves and figure out who they are. I loved the fact that the professor is in their 40s and still working to figure out who they are, that found family and acceptance is highlighted throughout, and a big takeaway that it’s ok to not know who you are when your young.

cute spicy little novella that i enjoyed for what it is! unique amab nb rep and great fat rep. loved the karaoke premise. good character development considering the length but not so much plot beyond getting to know the characters and wanting them to get together. a perfect listen in bed while i heal from this concussion
