The story was amazing!
the enemies-to-lovers was executed beautifully, and the forbidden nature of the romance between Dacre and Nyra/Verena was enticing

Do I like Dom/sub archetypes? Not really
Did I eat it up anyway? Yep

2.5/5 spice, as a first book in a duology, it didn’t really have a lot of action, it was pretty much all building up for what I can only hope will happen in the next book, but I’m still not really sure what that event will be. Confusing, over too soon, but still a good quick read

I did not expect this book to be so good, definitely underhyped series! I loved the fast pace and shorter length compared to most fantasy books. The perfect intro to romantasy or to get you out of a reading slump. The spice and enemies to lovers

Listen, I am not the most eloquent person with words. Here is what I will say.
I am not a huge fantasy/romantasy reader. Sometimes fantasy is hard for me because I am simple minded and can't process a lot of world building. This book was SO easy to read and understand. I love a good enemies to lovers trope and this book ATE.
Dacre and his little filthy mouth was just *chefs kiss* pure perfection!
The ending though... way to make me want to throw things in rage but in the best possible way because I can't wait for the next freaking book!
