This book was good, and then the ending ruined it for me. Like it was kinda disappointing. A little too heavy on the spice for me but it was a good read until the ending.
So I’m late to the game on this one, but after seeing all the hype, I had to see what Dacre and this book were about. Holly did not disappoint. I got major Violet and Xaden from Fourth Wing vibes when it comes to Nyra and Dacre. Not only the slow burn, enemies to lovers tension, but the tragic stories regarding lost family members as well and how their histories are intertwined. There’s not a ton of spice in this book, but what is in there is well-written and fits the pace of the book. I read this in less than a day and am anxious to start The Hunted Heir.
