I stopped reading about half way through.

It just was really boring for me. I couldn’t sit through more fighting training. I don’t want to read about the fmc learning to throw a punch. Like what a snooze fest!

It just wasn’t doing it for me. I looked at the blurbs for book 2 and 3 and this whole series seems a little too slow burn for me atm.

Wo soll ich bloß anfangen?
Der Typ ist von Beginn an eine wandelnde Red Flag und ich kann null verstehen, dass sie sich in ihn verknallt?! Sie denkt auch wie oft "so habe ich ihn noch nie gesehen" oder ähnliches - ja kein Wunder, ihr kennt euch erst seit ein paar Tagen?!
Wie sie sich so völlig unerfahren in jeglichem Kontext mit Männern ihm nach dem ersten Kuss (der völlig anders war als in ihren Hoffnungen!) sofort hingibt und sich so komplett dominieren lässt, fand ich auch eher unglaubwürdig.
Vielleicht bin ich auch einfach zu alt/reif für das Setting. Ich habe mich jedenfalls die meiste Zeit aufgeregt über die Dynamik der beiden.
World building hat quasi gar nicht stattgefunden, daher kam für mich der Fantasy Teil auch viel zu kurz.
Insgesamt leider nicht meine Geschichte.

Giving this a 4 star bc I really enjoyed this book a lot but it was just missing something! Not sure what it was but it just wasn’t quite perfect for me.

With that being said, Veiled Kingdom was such a fun, easy read!! The tension in this book is wild!!! I loved seeing Nyra become part of this unexpected family and be taken in which is something she’s never really had! The last chapter threw me and for story purpose loved how she ended it but also like WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK?!

I’m really curious how the next book is going to play out!!
