Nothing happened in this book. There was no plot except "combat training" and sex. I am hoping the plot picks up more in book 2. Also the writing was immature. Could have used an editor. Nonetheless it was catchy.

Damn, what an ending. “The Veiled Kingdom” is a romantasy but the world building and power scaling is very vague in my opinion. The book has a plot but I think it mostly focuses on Nyra & Dacre’s relationship. Dacre is hot af. I ate up all his possessive moments. If you want a mostly vibes and easy to read fantasy story with spice then this may be the book for you. My biggest gripe is that it wasn’t a standalone. Why can’t we have fantasy standalones?!
