Starts off wobbly, and has some one-dimensional scenes (almost as if written by a teenager) at the very beginning, until about half-way; at which point we gained speed, interest, intrigue, and ended on a cliffhanger.

I wanted to like this… but the plot was weak & underdeveloped. Zero world building when it was definitely needed. The romance was cringe at best, toxic at worst. I probably will still read the sequel when it comes out, because I’m a sucker for a cliffhanger. Definitely didn’t live up to the TikTok hype. Not sure why I’m surprised lol.

I picked up this book because it’s been everywhere and I was curious. I want to read it over and over again. This book was so good!
