This one took me a few chapters to get into, but I ended up loving this book!!
Nyra and Dacre's enemies to lovers buildup is spicy spicy spicy as hell!! Gah, that ending, tho!!!!
I need to jump into the next book immediately!!

I enjoy world building and evolving friendships and relationships. This had neither, somehow. Lots of people enjoyed it, but clearly it wasn't for me.

I'd also argue that the love interest (if you can call him that) was manipulative, possessive, and emotionally abusive. Their last interaction had elements of withdrawn consent (she "recoiled" he was "unrelenting" and holds her there). Overall, just really gross.
