i had so much fun reading this. stayed up until 3am to finish it. the last like 5-10% of the book lost me… pulled me back… and then lost me again w the last chapter so i’m not entirely sure where i fall w this book but will be reading the sequel

Wow, as soon as I finished this I immediately got into the second book, I’ve not felt the need to do that in a hot minute, and then after a few pages I remembered I should probably write a review while it’s still fresh. Wow wow I don’t think I can muster many words for this one, I Thoroughly enjoyed this to my surprise. it’s such a short book I didn’t think it would have such an impact on me. I’ll be honest in the beginning I was a bit meh about it due to the fact that it had a very similar scene to a book I’ve previously read, being on the streets, meeting a fellow homeless kid/teen, stealing to survive and bumping into someone with coin in a side pouch If you know, you know… the whole “powerless” concept enraged me I was in my head like “not this again”
4.5 stars. No heavy world building. The story line kept me turning the pages. Quick read. Can’t wait for the second book in August.
