This was a fun and easy romantasy read! I had been avoiding fantasy for a while because I didn’t wanna put the brain power into the world building and magic systems and such and this was a straight forward and easy to follow fantasy to get me back in the groove!
I liked Nyra and Dacre’s characters, the enemies to lovers trope was strong in this one! I wish they would’ve reached a more emotional level connection throughout the book, because it felt very attraction and possession based for the majority of it but I’m hoping that they delve into their emotions for each other more and the series continues.
Overall I had fun with it! It was an enjoyable quick read and I look forward to finishing out the rest of the series!

Didn’t know I would enjoy reading that as much as I did! Loved how we got the the main characters meeting right away! Good amount of spice. Cliff hanger. Be warned. (But happy the second book is coming out soon!)

There was almost no world building and it was vibes only. But that’s exactly what I wanted and expected so I guess it was perfect for me? But not nearly a perfect book. Objectively 3 stars. But I had so much fun
