So good, the ending had me squealing. Read this book.

Holy shit!!!

That was such a fast paced, entertaining fantasy, kept me on my toes throughout! There was not one thing I didn’t like about this book other than that I need more! The sexual tension and banter was perfect, the plot was entertaining and fast paced, the spice was so dirty and dark and I ate it up! What a fantastic read, the ending was fantastic and I’m dying to know what happens next! The next book can’t come soon enough 😍

I liked the world that the book was set in and the main character most of the time, but the love interest gave me the biggest ick so I was almost ready to DNF it.

This was terrible. I couldn’t put it down.

I honestly don’t even know how to feel about this book. It wasn’t bad enough for me to DNF, but it also wasn’t good enough for me to actually enjoy. It just… existed. Nothing really happens for most of the book, and when something finally does, it barely feels like a moment at all.
Nyra? She just felt flat. I wanted to care about her, to root for her, but there was nothing there to hold onto. And Dacre? He wasn’t the dark, brooding, morally gray type that makes enemies-to-lovers exciting—he was just an asshole. Not in an intriguing way, not in a "he'll redeem himself" way, just annoying. Their so-called chemistry? I didn’t feel it at all.
And that ending? The revenge thing made zero sense to me. I get what it was going for, but instead of adding depth or intensity, it just made everything messier.
That being said, for some reason, I kind of want to read the next book? But also… do I actually want to? I have no idea. This book left me feeling nothing, and maybe that says it all.
