The ultimate slow burn dark romance. The plot is heavily based around the characters and their deception. The enemies to lovers element had me weak from the start. Although world building could use a little work, I still adore this book. A nice quick read that leaves you not only desperate for more but also with more questions than you had at the start
This saved me from an Onyx Storm book slump. It’s easy and fun and not heavy fantasy. If you’re a newbie to fantasy this would be a good place to start! I did the audio and it was quick. On to the 2nd book!

Liked the story but the dialogue between characters was both hard to follow at times, and in a different tone than the internal musings of Nyra and Dacre - kinda disruped the vibe.
