This book deserves a mini series adaptation with a large budget and not well known actors who will get their big break from it, along with winning this year’s Goodreads best audiobook award.

Please know the ending made a few tears fall as I was driving because I was beyond pissed. I grew to care about Jess and ‘Kiddo’ more than I would like to imagine, so much so that I was trying to figure out the solution for them to live a peaceful life as the foster family they both deserved.

The narrator for the audiobook version blew me away! I haven’t even checked what other novels she has narrated but holy cow give her all of the awards!

Cassidy’s author’s note made me feel too many emotions while washing dishes…I have to stop consuming novels that move me while I work.

My first Nat Cassidy, definitely not my last.
