I loved this one!! It was so cute and I was sucked in immediately. It was the perfect book to escape in.

Adult little mermaid retelling with Fae a bridal competition. The selkie FMC needs to kill the human MC with a kiss or her life is forfeit. Great twist to the classic fairy tale! This series is very addicting.

little mermaid retelling meets the bachelor?? I love this series.

As with the last, this book sucked me in! Such a unique retelling that weaves original tidbits into a totally new story. The slow burn makes it impossible to put down! Normally, I read series, but I'm liking these standalone stories that exist in the same world but show a new part of it and new characters. Now I have to decide which to read next!

It’s not that I decided to finish the whole book, but more like I failed to stop reading it. Despite having disliked the characters and trudged through the first half of the book, I kept going because I liked the other books in this series. I think I might have wasted my time, but also, I don’t regret finishing the book. This is a mixed review.

The Little Mermaid is my absolute favourite Disney film. I love retellings of the story and I loved this one.
Maisie is great and I really liked Dorian too. I loved Podaxis, the little crabby boy, he's so sweet and caring.
Hearing about Gemma made me happy and seeing Ember and Franco too.
Odette is incredible at making me feel things even though I know it'll end well. I feel so much anxiety and then relief when it all comes together. Bringing me close to tears when everything wraps up.

I always know what to expect with this series, but it doesn't make it hurt less. Yes, it's a sappy romance, but I'm allowed to enjoy "dumb" things lmao. Anyway, sooooo looking forward to getting A Taste of Poison for my birthday even though I already know what's going to happen lmao.

This was my least favorite of this series so far, for a few main reasons. The first being that I don’t particularly enjoy the focus on religion in the story and could’ve done with a lot more world building in that regard. Also, I felt like of the three heroines, Maisie was the least developed over the course of the story. I liked her quite a bit, but I think she remained a bit stuck. Podaxis was this book’s highlight for sure.
