3 stars. Full transparency, I DNF’d this book.

I love dark retellings of classic fairy tales so I was very excited to see a full series of books in this vein.

I have to admit I struggled to get into this one. I’m not sure if it was the pacing, or overly explained world building, but I just couldn’t get into it.

I have a thing now that I don't actually finish the book and ignore the last chapters...

It's great, it had me smiling like an idiot the entire story, but when it felt done, I just pretended it was really done

Started off really strong, but definitely felt too long and the end was a bit of a let down, the romance was a good enemies to lovers and I really enjoyed that slow burn.
