Everyone it’s finally time for Asher to get his story!!!! The Goalie Who Stole Christmas was the perfect book to get anyone into the holiday season!
I loved everything about this story. The whole story line is one of my favorites and this was one of the best. Who doesn’t love a fake relationship romance?? Even better when that fake relationship is a friend of yours!!!! These two had me swoon. I loved their friendship but I also love how sweet they are with each other and let me tell you our girl Sydney is so sweet she could give you a toothache. Asher's feelings for Sydney would make any girl jealous and swoon for their relationship status.

I love this series and each book gets better and better! I LOVED Asher and Sydney. This was a short and sweet holiday novella with some of my favorite tropes: fake dating, friends to lovers, one bed, and forced proximity. Asher needs a date for his brother's wedding (right around Christmas) because his mom has been adamant about marrying off all her kids since she got sick. Asher's more focused on hockey than relationships so he asks his friend, Sydney, to be his fake date for the wedding and invites her to stay with his family for the holidays. She has nothing better to do since her family took off on a vacation without her. Adorable, cozy holiday dates and loving family fun brings them together until Asher realizes maybe he does want a relationship after all. These two were so cute!!! It was great to see Asher grow and realize there are more important things than the game he's loved his entire life. His family was amazing, especially his mom, and how easily they took Sydney in and showed her how a loving family celebrates the holidays together. This is the perfect holiday read to warm your heart before Christmas! *Thank you to Greys Promotions for the ARC*

This Christmas novella follows hockey player Asher who is in desperate need of a girlfriend for hist brother's wedding in order to appease his mother who is recovering from cancer. As a result, he enlists the help of good friend, Sydney who has one condition - not to fall in love.
This was such a sweet and spicy novella, despite it's length it definitely packed a punch. The story is well paced and I enjoyed the way Sydney quickly became a part of Asher's family and the way both the main characters were head over heels in love with each other, but reluctant to share their feelings in fear of spoiling their friendship.
The only downfall is the style of writing, which I think could have been tighter, I felt some of the descriptions were unnecessary and could have been used to move the plot along. Regardless, it was a fun read, and recommend for those who are looking for something quick and cute.

I got my introduction to the Wyncote Wolves via The Face Off and loved it. So when I saw this holiday novella was coming I got so excited, it was perfect.
Asher is the goalie for the Wyncote Wolves hockey team and heading home for Christmas but not just any Christmas, his brother is getting married and Asher needs a date. At first he doesn’t know who to ask to pretend to be his girlfriend, but when his classmate Sydney mentions she is staying around school for the holidays he asks.
Asher and Sydney spend 5 days with in Maine visiting Asher’s family. In those five days they both realize outside of the classroom they may just be perfect for each other. They’ve known each other since freshman year, but it isn’t until they spend one on one time together not related to school work that everything starts to click.
They were an adorable friends to lovers couple and I was so happy they got their happily ever after!

i didnt love how fast this story went by but its a novella so i got over it, i just want more of asher and syd bc theyre so cute and sweet
asher brings syd to his brothers wedding as his date and it was a cute holiday read. i love that ashers fam welcomed sydney with open arms
theyve been friends for three years, pretty close friends, so i wasnt buying the whole fake dating thing for a minute. theyve liked each other since the beginning
the i love yous were quick tho but again its a novella so ofc it seems rushed
the ending scene in the shower was so wholesome but also so full of promises for the future & them as endgame and he lowkey proposes but doesnt officially propose even tho theyve dated for six months but were friends for three yrs prior

This was really cute! Asher’s mom has cancer and her dying wish is to see her kids get married. This issue? He doesn’t even have a girlfriend. So when it’s time to go home for Christmas, he needs a favor from his friend Sydney so she’ll be his fake girlfriend.
The chemistry between these two was palpable and I loved the pace and amount of steam considering this was a novella. It was cute and definitely worth adding to your TBR before the holiday season is over.
